
Sports Massage Therapy for Triathletes

I can help – as an active participant in triathlon and armed with specialised knowledge in many of the issues that can arise from training and competing, I can provide essential support to the body that you work so hard and keep you doing what you love.
Sports massage therapy has many benefits including preventing injuries before they occur, enhancing performance during training and competition, keeping your muscles and other soft tissue in tip top condition for your sport and supporting the healing process post injury. There are also additional psychological and emotional benefits.
What to expect from a session
In our first session, there will be a full consultation where I will review your medical history, take details of past and present injuries/problems, discuss aspects of your lifestyle including recent training and together agree treatment.
For the remainder of the first session and ongoing, if it is not necessary for me to refer you to another medical professional, I will treat you using deep tissue massage and advanced stretching techniques. I will then discuss with you any self treatment that may be of benefit in between sessions.
Pricing
- 1.5 hour session: £70 (recommend for first session as consultation generally lasts 30 minutes)
- 1 hour session: £55
- Block of 6 bookings: £265 (saving over 20%)
- Pay Monthly: 1 hour treatment per week plus FREE personalised stretching programme: £160/month
- Pay Monthly: 1 hour treatment per fortnight plus FREE personalised stretching programme: £95/month
Personalised Stretching Programme
I can develop a full stretching programme customised for you to compliment and support your massage therapy or with specific needs in mind such as improving flexibility, additional support for injury prevention, injury recovery, cooling down or specific muscle or muscle group focus.
The programme will include full instructions and high quality illustrative pictures – emailed direct to your inbox or delivered as a printout. We can review the programme periodically and make changes to reflect your changing needs.
